Alex Iwobi makes a social media comeback with a freestyle rap video.

The AFCON finals abuse caused Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi to go silent for a while, but he has now returned to social media with a video post on his Instagram account.

His football career and personal life are highlighted in the video, which also features a rap song playing in the background. The caption reads, “Lately..”

Supporters believe the rap, which may have been written by Iwobi, discusses his life narrative. Words like “believing in himself, overcoming obstacles, and succeeding even when people doubted him” are spoken.

“Never thought I’d make it, but now people know me,” he raps at the beginning of the song, describing his rise to fame. Later on, he celebrates his accomplishments by saying things like, “Everything was worth it, now I’m known worldwide.” Additionally, he appears to be saying, “They said I wasn’t good enough,” to those who didn’t think highly of him.

Even though it’s unclear what the video means in its entirety, a lot of people have been talking about it on Instagram. It’s unclear if he intends to inspire others, address criticism, or simply express his opinions. However, one thing is certain: Alex Iwobi is back online and ready to speak up.
